ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

 

My academic career includes an MA in integrated design from the Holon Institute of Technology, and a BA in Economics from the University of California at San Diego. 

 

For my final MA project I explored complexity and the collaborative behavior of social insects. With help from the HIT Interactive Lab I designed a data visualization tool that creates a graphic mapping of the complete history of a Wikipedia article from creation date to present day. The tool, called “Trace” is proposed as a new way to research human collaboration. Animated, it looks like this.

 

 

TEDx:  I gave a TEDx talk about my project and its fundamental significance called: “Traces that Trigger Actions”. You can see my TEDx talk here.

 

PAPER:  I also wrote a paper about it, which was presented at the European Conference on Information Systems June, 2014.

 

EXHIBITION: Trace was exhibited in Europe’s largest art and technology festival, Ars Electronica.
